Today, Samsung Electronics is proud to introduce its latest 200MP image sensor. Called the ISOCELL HP2, it seems that this would be the upcoming Galaxy S23 series' newest main sensor.

Earlier, it was reported that Xiaomi will be one of the first to debut a smartphone with a 200MP camera. Now, the news has come saying that the Chinese tech company will use Samsung's unannounced 200MP sensor. Back in 2019, Xiaomi also launched the CC9 Pro which was the first to come with Samsung's 108MP camera sensor.

Looks like a patent by Xiaomi might have been spotted recently, hinting that they could be working on a Xiaomi phone that’s equipped with an under-display flip camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact release date of the smartphone in question, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from Xiaomi in the future.

It seems that a Digital Chat Station recently posted on the user’s weibo account, hinting that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone could come equipped with a 200MP main camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact smartphone model of the upcoming phone, we do know that it will most likely be using Samsung’s 200MP GN2 image sensor which was teased on Samsung’s official Twitter account.

The 3D ToF sensor was something that can only be seen on Samsung's highest flagship offerings like the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, the company has later decided to replace it with a Laser AF system for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Since then, the 3D ToF sensor can no longer be found on the latest Samsung devices. Today, it is reported that we will not be getting the sensor with the upcoming Galaxy S22 series as well.
