Last year, when the Samsung Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017) came out, we quickly compared the two as the tech-specs were quite similar back then. Fast forward to one year later, the Galaxy A8 (2018) is coming out real soon so if you have the Galaxy A7 (2017), you might have wondered if it's worth it to upgrade or not. Just in case you were wondering, no, there's no Galaxy A8 (2017) model and the last time that an A8 model did come to Malaysia was way back in 2015. Anyway, check out our comparison below.

Barely a day after leaks showed off the latest Samsung Galaxy A (2018) series and Samsung have officially announced their Samsung Galaxy A8 (2018) and Samsung Galaxy A8+ (2018) smartphones. Successors of the previous Galaxy A5 (2017) and Galaxy A7 (2017), the 2 new Galaxy A (2018) phones share 18.5:9 aspect ratio Infinity Displays, dual front cameras and IP68 dust and water resistance. While rumours about the next Samsung Galaxy A (2018) series have appeared, some clear-cut images and tech specs of what appears to be the Galaxy A8 (2018) and Galaxy A8+ (2018) have appeared. Originally appearing in a video clip, this has since been taken down, but images on GSMArena are still there showing 5.5-inch and 6-inch 18:9 aspect ratio Infinity Design Super AMOLED FullHD+ displays, rear fingerprint sensors (placed below the rear camera thankfully!) and dual front cameras.

It's that time of the year again and if you know Samsung's patterns, they will usually have a new Galaxy J and A model series snooping around the Internet. Thanks to online sources, there's some new stuff about the Galaxy A8 (2018), particular that front cutout revealing a dual front camera and we might be getting two variants of them instead of the usual A5, A7 and A8.
