Samsung Malaysia has announced that they will be taking in pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy Fold smartphone, which is expected to start around October of 2019. Not only that, chances are there will be a launch event for the aforementioned smartphone in the same month as well.

It’s been months since Samsung had withdrawn the Samsung Galaxy Fold due to malfunctions on the device. After a long time of silence, we may finally see the phone relaunched on the 6th of September in South Korea.

Earlier this year, Samsung had announced their first foldable smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold alongside their highly successful Samsung Galaxy S10 series. Ironically, the foldable smartphone was a huge fail after the company sent some review units out and found the devices to be fragile and malfunctioning.

Based on an article by thelec.kr, it seems that the Samsung Galaxy Fold 2 is currently in the planning phase and it should be available for purchase somewhere around early 2020. While not much is known in regards to the tech specs, the upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to feature an 8-inch fold-in display as well as S Pen support.

We are halfway through 2019 and there's still no sign of the Samsung Galaxy Fold which was supposed to make its debut in early May in Malaysia. Understandably, Samsung recalled most of the devices back in order to have another round of test to ensure the display are working with the ambiguity of the release date, but according to one Samsung executive, it's "ready to hit the market."
