News & Reviews:   Samsung Galaxy S11 Malaysia launch

Recently, a Samsung promotional video has been spotted on Twitter which showcased the unveiling date of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series. Not much is exactly known in regards to the aforementioned smartphone series, other than the fact that the series will consist of the Galaxy S11, S11 Plus and potentially more.

News and rumours of the Samsung Galaxy S11 have been rife, many of them related to the camera. If true, this could mean that Samsung intends its next flagship device to focus on that. The latest leaks now hint at a 48MP telephoto sensor included into the camera setup at the back, enabling users to take incredibly high resolution zoom shots.

With how well Apple's iPhone 11 has done in the camera department, other brands are being spurred to knock the fruit off its perch. Samsung is one of many looking to do so with its upcoming flagship-level devices, by making sure the cameras at the rear are up to par.

Earlier, renders of the Samsung Galaxy S11 series revealed there will be more cameras than the previous models. Since then, everyone has been playing the guessing game on the functions of those cameras. Now, there is a source claiming that one of the holes could be a laser autofocus system.

Recently, a Twitter user by the name of @OnLeaks has recently posted a tweet which includes pictures of what seems to be the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S11 series smartphone. Based on the image, it looks like the upcoming Galaxy device will come with a rectangle camera module which houses around 5 image sensors as well as one LED flash.

With the Samsung Galaxy S11 expected to release around Q1 2020, Evan Blass recently mentioned that the S11 series will most likely be available in three different sizes which includes a 6.4-inch, 6.7-inch as well as a 6.9-inch curved display variant. But that’s not all, XDA Developers did a little digging around and found a 108MP resolution mode in the Samsung Galaxy camera app, hinting that the upcoming devices will most likely come with a 108MP camera sensor. 

It seems that next year’s Samsung Galaxy S11 could come equipped with a newer generation ISOCELL 108MP image sensor, based on a statement by Ice Universe on his Twitter account. While there is not much info in regards to the difference between the first generation and second generation ISOCELL sensor, we would most likely see improvements as to how the aforementioned sensor process images.

Reports state that Sunny Optical, which is the supplier for the Time-of-Flight module has significantly ramped up shipments to Samsung for the Galaxy S11 series smartphones. With that said, bgr.com stated that there is a big possibility that the upcoming Galaxy series smartphones could come with more ToF modules compared to its predecessor.

Based on a statement by mydrivers.com, the Samsung Galaxy S11 series could come with a whopping 108MP quad-camera setup which is capable of up to 5x optical zoom. Not only that, but the smartphone will most likely come equipped with Samsung’s very own 108MP ISOCELL image sensor, which was unveiled on 12 August 2019.

An image hinting the potential design of the Samsung Galaxy S11 recently surfaced on the internet, stating that the device could come with a sliding mechanism and no notch at the top of the display. In order to utilize the front and rear cameras, the user has to slide up the top part of the display which will then expose the image sensors.
