So according to the Wall Street Journal, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge are to be released early next year and will feature a pressure-sensitive display on their new device. If you think the feature sounds familiar, it is...because it’s basically like a 3D Touch from the Apple iPhone 6siPhone 6s Plus and the Huawei Mate S

If this is true, then the reason why Samsung is doing so is to compete with Apple next year. Rumours: A leaked video concept of Samsung Galaxy S7, fact or fiction?

A 3D render video concept of the Samsung Galaxy S7 was found in YouTube just a few hours ago and it has gained some unfavourable feedback from the community, which is largely because of how similar it looks like to the Samsung Galaxy S6.

From the video and other sources, we have learned that the measurement is 143.37 x 70.8 x 6.94 mm and 163.32 x 82.01 x 7.82 mm (for the S7 Edge) which is slightly thicker than the S6; this suggests that the screen display could be 6-inch, and the device concept is lacking a USB Type-C as well, as the device is too thick. There are still no rumoured tech specs, but from our last report on the rumoured Galaxy S7 it’s likely to sport an Exynos 8 Octa or Snapdragon 820 chipsets, 4GB of RAM, a speculated 20 MP BRITECELL camera on the back and it will also feature a rectangular home button with an embedded fingerprint sensor.

Rumours: Samsung Galaxy S7 to cost 10% less at launching?

According to Weibo, there are rumours going around that analyst Pan Jiutang was heard to be saying Samsung is considering a 10% discount on the Samsung Galaxy 7 when it debuts next year.

Recalling the past, Samsung did the same strategy for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge by cutting 10% too, and it seems to be a good marketing strategy for the group in their last quarter which ended on a positive financial note thanks to the good sales of flagship devices. On the other hand, they’re doing this to also keep themselves in the competition with various Chinese smartphone manufacturers heating up price wars in retail and online channels.
