We are already halfway through 2017 and there were quite a few interesting smartphones we have seen these past few months. Quite few of them offered some rather shiny backsides so here we go with the Top 5 Shiniest smartphones yet (in no particular order). Check them out below!

Just literally hours after the Sony Xperia XZ Premium Malaysian launch, images of a possible red version of the device has surfaced in Japan.

As announced today and priced at RM3399 by Sony Malaysia, the XZ Premium is powered by the latest Snapdragon 835 64bit octa core and 4GB RAM, not only it is also the world's first smarphone to use a 4K HDR on its TRILUMINOS display panel, but also one of the first smartphones capable of Gigabit CLass LTE thanks to the Snapdragon X16 LTE modem which allow a download speed of 1Gbps. Today, Sony Malaysia has announced the released of the Xperia XZ Premium and XA1 Ultra nationwide. Both devices are priced RM3399 and 1899 respectively, and the pre-order has started today (25 May) until 4 June at selected Sony stores, centres, authorised dealers as well as 11street.com.my. Below is the official specifications:

Sony's latest flagship, the Xperia XZ Premium is set to launch in Malaysia on 25 May 2017. The phone will feature a powerful 19MP front camera that features Motion Eye, a feature that allows extreme slow-mo video recording. 

It is no surprise that big brands such as Sony would choose the best processors for their flagship units. Thusly so, the upcoming Sony flagship phone the Sony Xperia XZ Premium will come fully equipped with the Snapdragon 835 chipset. It just so happens that the same chipset is used in the latest Samsung flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus. With that said, the Xperia XZ Premium has also recently popped up in the Geekbench benchmark platform so we can have a rough idea on what level of performance this phone will be on.

It seems, UK retailer, Clove, had just announced that pre-orders for Sony’s range of Xperia devices, the XA1, XA1 Ultra as well as the XZ Premium, are now open on their website.

With the closing of the MWC 2017 last week, we saw some cool technology showcased in Barcelona, ranging from cars to advanced cloud storage technology. However, in this article we will be looking into the smartphone category and tell you our favourite top five new smartphones at MWC 2017!

As you already know, Samsung was awarded the "Best Smartphone" in MWC 2017 with the Galaxy S7 edge which seems quite odd factoring the fact that the phone is a year old, however, there is another winner during the event which is Sony for winning for the "Best New Smartphone" award for the Xperia XZ Premium.
