While the Sony PlayStation 5 is getting all the attention with its new design and upcoming games, we happened to pass by an important announcement by Niantic, the makers behind Pokemon GO. Starting from August 2020, the company will no longer support 32-bit Android devices.

Available from 3 February to 17 February 2015, users can get extra gifts worth up to RM98 which include 16GB and 8GB microSD memory cards with free Limited Edition Xperia 2015 Chinese New Year Shirts. Another day, another bit of information on the still unrevealed tech specs for the Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus smartphones. As we wait for 19 September 2014 when those who have ordered their iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 plus will get them and no doubt reveal all the tech specs, it turns out that both smartphones will come packing 1GB of RAM and have cameras that protrude or stick out from the super thin metal casing. While the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus remain very attractive smartphones for many users out there, for some users they just aren't right at all and here are 5 reasons why you and these users should NOT buy an Apple iPhone 6 or Apple iPhone 6 Plus.

Despite all the leaked images, Sony has finally revealed it's latest Sony Xperia Z3 and Sony Xperia Z3 Compact smartphones along with the Sony Xperia E3. True to their word, the new Xperia Z3 was released in 6 months after the Xperia Z2 and while the Z3 Compact skips a number it is even more capable than the Xperia Z1 Compact. Overall, these two new smartphones don't change much in terms of design but they are more compact and lighter. The Sony Xperia Z3 just can't stop being leaked it seems as it has recently appeared at China's TENAA with some pictures and tech specs. It appears that early rumours about the same tech specs as the Sony Xperia Z2 appear to be true with the only major difference being a 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor. Other tech specs include 3GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, microSD support, a 5.2-inch IPS LCD display with full HD 1080p resolution, 20.7MP rear camera and 2MP front camera. One other feature that could be different is the water resistant certification. The Xperia Z2 was certified with an IP58 certification which means that the device can be under 1.5m of water for 30 minutes. Recent teasers for the Sony IFA 2014 event reveal that it could be able to go as low as 2 meters, signifying that the Xperia Z3 will have a much higher water resistance certification. No Malaysia release dates or pricing yet but the Xperia Z3 is expected to be revealed soon at the upcoming IFA 2014.

While it is set to be officially announced on 3 September 2014 at the upcoming IFA 2014 event, the Sony Xperia Z3 has appeared in some newly leaked pictures, apparently of it being taken apart. The leaked pictures confirm that the design is the only feature that seems to have been changed as asides from the shiny metal power button, everything else is matte black. Tech specs and features don't appear to have changed much from the Sony Xperia Z2 as the Sony Xperia Z3 is said to be packing the same Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, 20.7MP camera and 5.2-inch display with full HD resolution. There doesn't seem to be anything else different asides from the 3100 mAh battery which is 100 mAh less than before. No news yet on Malaysia release dates or pricing but we should find out more in the next week.

The upcoming Sony Xperia Z3 continues Sony's efforts to combine all their product knowhow and technologies into a single device from their previous Sony Xperia Z2 and Sony Xperia Z1 smartphones. Rumoured to have an international release date in August 2014, the smartphone has also been rumoured to get benchmarked on AnTuTu with a very high score of 37169, beating many of the current range of flagship smartphones. The Xperia Z3 is rumoured to go by the model number of Sony D6653 and may come with tech specs and features that include a Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor. Other tech specs should also include a 20.7MP or higher rear camera, 3GB of RAM and 4G LTE connectivity.

A device going by the model name of Sony D6653 recently appeared on AnTuTu with a score of 37169, which is quite high, all things considered. Rumours say that this Sony D6653 could be the Sony Xperia Z3, as Sony itself has been quoted as saying that they will come out with a new flagship smartphone every 6 months. The timing therefore fits almost perfectly as the Sony Xperia Z2 was introduced in February 2014. This would make August the 6th month after the Sony Xperia Z2 was introduced. While it is still unknown if the Sony D6653 is actually the Sony Xperia Z3, it stands to reason that the next such high-powered smartphone from Sony would be the Sony Xperia Z3. Rumoured tech specs for the Sony D6653 includes Android 4.4.4 and possibly a quad-core Snapdragon 801 MSM8974AC processor. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details were available but if these rumours are true, we could see the Sony Xperia Z3 reach us in September 2014.

Tech specs for the Sony Xperia Z2a suggest that it could well be the Sony Xperia Z2 compact smartphone. While the Xperia Z2a has already been officially announced in Taiwan it has yet to reach Malaysia or the rest of the world. These tech specs include a Snapdragon 801 processor, 3GB of RAM, a 5-inch full HD display, 20.7MP rear camera amd support for 4G LTE. Running on Android 4.4 KitKat, the only differences are the slightly smaller screen size, plastic backside and slightly smaller battery. Everything else matches up with the Xperia Z2, including the same water and dust resistance. Set for Taiwan in July 2014, it should reach other markets like Malaysia soon after. The Maxis ONEplan aims to offer a simple to understand and follow post-paid plan for new and existing Maxis users. Seeking to maintain this simplicity with their device bundles, Maxis have set the advance payment of a device retailing above RM400 to four months charge of either the ONEplan or ONEplan Lite while a device retailing below RM400 is only charged two months of either the ONEplan or ONEplan Lite plans. All advance payments are rebated into the customer's bills and loyal customers with more than 12 months on Maxis and who have a good credit record won't have to make these advance payments. So far, the device list includes the HTC One (M8), Samsung Galaxy S5, Sony Xperia Z2, Samsung Galaxy Note 3, HTC One (M7), Sony Xperia M2, Samsung Galaxy Ace 3, Huawei Ascend Y530 and the Xiaomi Mi 3.
