Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg has dropped hints about the arrival of a WhatsApp feature that most of us need. During an interview with WhatsApp CEO Will Cathcart, Zuckerberg himself surprisingly showed up and subtly told the interviewee that multi-device support for WhatsApp is in the works.

Previously, there was much news about WhatsApp limiting some functions if the user didn't choose to agree with the new privacy policy. This includes account deactivation if the user is inactive but it seems that the team is backtracking on that. So even if you didn't accept it, you won't be limited by some functions.

When it comes to data privacy, the wrong move can cause your users to leave. That seems to be WhatsApp's concern in regards to its updated privacy policy, which has been a cause of controversy. Fortunately, sources claim that the company won't be enforcing it.

Based on a report by wabetainfo, it seems that the developers of WhatsApp could be working on a feature that allows users to import chat history from one phone number to another. With that being said, it could mean that users might not need to import chat history using a third-party service such as Google Drive or iCloud in the future.

After WhatsApp has implemented its new privacy policy and requested the users to accept it, it has gotten international backlash. Although the company has stepped back without deactivating users' accounts, there are still some consequences the users will face by not accepting the new policy.

Hard-handed approaches could make some people push back harder, something WhatsApp is finding that out the hard way. Even though users would have their accounts deactivated, the company still failed to get people to agree to its new privacy policy. That's probably why its plans have changed.
