Just recently, Telegram just announced that they now allow users to seamlessly import chats from other platforms such as WhatsApp, Line, KakaoTalk, and more. In order to do so, you may head over to any of the instant messaging app you’re using and select the export chat option. 

As if WhatsApp is not facing enough problems with the privacy policy update, the scammers are now making several troubles on the chat platform to make matters worse. Earlier, it was reported that there are fake WhatsApp staff scamming users using a voice authentication loophole. Now, a new method has appeared by using a malicious link that tricks users to install suspicious software.

It looks like a bunch of new hijacking methods have been spotted by JSJK PDRM on their Facebook page, giving us a better idea on how your WhatsApp account can be hijacked through a voice authentication loophole. The first method is where a hijacker would send the victim a message letting you know that your account has been compromised and they will need a 6-digit verification code to verify if you are the user.

Potholes are a common trait when it comes to Malaysia roads, so the Ipoh City Council decided to tackle the problem by setting up a WhatsApp channel for the community. Developers of WhatsApp has officially stated on their website, mentioning that they have extended the policy agreement date to 15 May 2021 instead of the initial date of 8 February 2021. With that being said, if you’re still keen on using WhatsApp, you have until the extended date to agree with their new policy.

Following WhatsApp's new privacy policy update, many users are jumping ship to another messaging platform such as Signal. Another popular messaging app is Telegram which has been around for quite some time now, and they have just reached a new milestone with 500 million active users.

After Elon Musk told his followers on Twitter to switch to Signal app from WhatsApp, there was a sudden spike in new registrations and verification code delays due to the number of new users. In case you missed it, WhatsApp recently updated their privacy policy on how they share your data with other Facebook-owned platforms, which got a lot of people feeling uneasy.

So yes, an unfortunate Malaysian student just lost RM84,600 due to an online scam. According to the Melaka Commercial Crime Investigation Department Chief, Supt E Sundra Rajan told the reporters that it happened not too long ago on 5 January, where she saw a Bitcoin advertisement on Facebook and then got scammed in WhatsApp.
