As we enter the month of December, we are expecting to see new device launches by Xiaomi, iQOO and Huawei but it seems that they would have to be delayed. The brands announced the news on their Weibo account, and this has something to do with MediaTek.

Previously, we reported that Xiaomi is holding a launching event in China tomorrow (1 December 2022) where it will be unveiling the Xiaomi 13 series, Watch S2, Buds 4 and MIUI 4. Well, it looks like the Chinese tech giant is also launching another new product during the event, the Xiaomi Mini Host, its first-ever desktop PC.

Previously, we reported that the Xiaomi 13 series is set for release this Thursday (1 December 2022) and now, alleged real-life photos of the upcoming device are circulating around social media. Shared by Sparrow News and sourced from a couple of tipsters on Weibo, the images show the Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro placed side-by-side.

Xiaomi recently announced MIUI 14 via a post on the official Mi Community China, which also unveiled the new colourful logo for the latest MIUI OS. Now, more details of the MIUI 14 release have been unveiled, including the list of devices that are set to get the update to the latest OS.

Xiaomi might be skipping 13 and going straight to 14 for its upcoming flagship, according to the leaked box packaging and a screenshot of 'About Phone'. As the Xiaomi 13 still hasn't even gotten announced, it's impossible for leaked images of the Xiaomi 14 to appear. Therefore, it's suspected that the upcoming Xiaomi device gets named differently than we thought.

As announced today, the brand new Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset has been revealed by Qualcomm and it's expected to arrive by the end of 2022. Besides presenting the key features, the company also announced a few global OEMs and brands to adopt the new chipset. 

As we head towards the end of 2022, Canalys announced that Xiaomi has recently topped the list of smartphone vendors in Malaysia for Q3 2022. According to Canalys' report, Xiaomi maintained its first spot on the list for the second consecutive quarter with a 25% unit share for sell-in shipments.

Xiaomi Malaysia has announced that it will be offering consumers in our country special deals and exclusive discounts on selected products as part of the Xiaomi 11.11 Mega Sale. Among the highlights of the promotion is RM900 off on selected products such as the Xiaomi Smart TV A2 series, Xiaomi Camera 2K (Magnetic Mount) and Xiaomi Pad 5.

Xiaomi is set to unveil the latest offerings of its Redmi subbrand later today with the Redmi Note 12 series and we’ve already gotten a few confirmed specs yesterday from the Chinese tech giants.  Now, more information has been revealed regarding the smartphone lineup, including how the Redmi Note 12 Explorer Edition will feature a whopping 210W fast charging!

After being in the rumour mills for quite some time, the Redmi Pad has finally been released by Xiaomi in India. Unveiled during a launch live stream earlier today, the tablet features the MediaTek Helio G99 chipset paired with either 3,4 or 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM under the hood.
