After the announcement of the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 chipset yesterday at the Tech Summit Digital 2020, a few smartphone manufacturers such as Xiaomi and realme have announced that their new smartphone development will be powered by the new processor on their respective official social media accounts.

It seems that Twitter user @StationChat recently tweeted on the individual’s account, stating that the Xiaomi Mi 11 series might launch around January 2021. While not much is known in regards to the exact release date regarding the smartphone, this does give us an idea on what to expect when the device is officially unveiled to the public.

Based on a statement by Digital Chat Station on weibo, it seems that Xiaomi’s upcoming Xiaomi Mi 11 series smartphone could be the first smartphone to come equipped with a 200MP main sensor in the rear. However, it seems that on paper the smartphone might state that it comes with a 50MP main camera instead due to the fact that it uses some form of Quad Bayer filter.

After Samsung rumoured to move the launch date of the Galaxy S21 series to January, it looks like Xiaomi will be doing the same for their upcoming flagship series as well. Earlier, it was reported that Xiaomi has quietly removed the stocks of Xiaomi Mi 10 from the stores to make way for the upcoming Mi 11 devices. Today, the first live photo of the devices has appeared online as another evidence.

Based on a listing on GeekBench, it seems that a Xiaomi device has been spotted to come equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 875 chipset. While there is no official news in regards to which smartphone was spotted in the listing, we have good reason to believe that it will most likely be the Xiaomi Mi 11 series.

Pretty soon in December, it is very likely that Qualcomm will unveil the Snapdragon 875 chipset. We are pretty sure it has gotten the nerds thinking which smartphone will be the first to equip it, but it seems that we have got the answer...according to a leak, that is.
