A perk of having a Xiaomi device is that even its oldest phones still receive updates till this day. At least, until now. The Chinese manufacturer made an announcement on their forums stating 7 Redmi devices will cease to receive any form of software support.

Xiaomi have officially launched their Xiaomi Redmi 4 in three variants; the more affordable Redmi 4A, the standard Redmi 4 and the higher-end Redmi 4 Prime. Priced at 499 yuan (about RM311) the Redmi 4A features a metal body but lacks a fingerprint sensor and has lower-end tech specs like a quad-core processor for 499 yuan (RM311).
