    Xiaomi Mi 5 won't be released so soon according to Xiaomi CEO

    Xiaomi CEO, Lei Jun has made a humble appearance in the company’s forums, announcing to the fans that the Xiaomi Mi 5 won’t be released so early next year. The reason for delaying the Mi 5 is because they are waiting for the first wave of smartphones equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820, which will be the latest chipset in the first quarter of 2016.

    Just last week, we got a render image of the Xiaomi Mi 5 with some speculated tech specs. Now we have another new one, and this one a more authentic and clearer version. 

    So looking at the pictures and based on our previous tech specs report, the Mi 5 display is around 5-inch instead of 5.2-inch and will have rounded corners too. The physical home button is also there, which we expect to have new fingerprint sensor unless it goes on the back like the Redmi Note 3. The device is also coated in full metal instead of the usual plastic cover from Xiaomi.

    Xiaomi wasn't kidding when they were going to do a grand finale event of the year, past teasers of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 and Mi Pad 2 are proving to be real, and an unexpected Mi Air Purifier 2 also made its debut at the event. While we've covered the Redmi Note 3, the Intel processor-based metal body Mi Pad 2 is going for RMB 999 (662), and  a more compact and quiet Air Purifier version will cost RMB 699 (RM463).

    So it's official, Xiaomi has unveiled the Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 to the world and listed the official tech specs. Without further ado, here you go:-

And it has revealed that the speculated Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro is actually a Xiaomi Redmi Note 3, but wait...wasn't the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 just released a few months back? Well yes, and we're getting a Redmi Note 3 because...why not?
