According to Amanz, Google has officially announced the expansion of its YouTube Shopping affiliate programme to Malaysia. Introduced in Indonesia back in September 2024, the programme was developed in collaboration with Shopee to rival TikTok Shop through creator-promoted e-commerce.

These days, every platform wants to add a shopping feature. Instagram added a Shop tab last year before WhatsApp started allowing people to sell things directly through its app. Both Facebook isn't the only corporation that wants to sell you stuff, Google wants to do it too with YouTube.
