In view of the on-going MCO, Celcom has just announced that they will be offering free 88GB hotspot and Internet data quota for their Xpax consumers. As for the Mega postpaid users, they can enjoy a new Mix and Match promo. 

Today, Celcom just announced some new add-on features to the Celcom XP Lite plans. From the company's website, the said-plan just got upgraded with free access to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and WeChat.

Today, Celcom has announced a new special Internet Pass for Malaysian SPM and STPM students. From the website, the Internet Pass is just RM20/month only with up to 15GB Internet data and the campaign has begun today. Since it's for SPM and STPM students, it will run through until the end of April 2021.

Besides the new Internet speed and hotspot upgrade, Celcom also introduced two new Home Fibre plans. Previously, their Home Fibre plan was up to 100Mbps only but now there's a new addition up to 500Mbps.

Back in July 2020, Celcom silently upgraded some of their monthly internet data quota for their MEGA plan and LIGHTNING series pass. The blue telco did it again but this time, they have increased the internet speed, monthly hotspot and the monthly internet family line.

Now the latest iPhones are finally available in Malaysia, with prices starting from RM3399 on Apple Malaysia's official website. Not only that, but it's also available for pre-order via telco companies such as Digi, Celcom, Maxis, as well as U Mobile.

As most Malaysians are working from home once again due to the CMCO, it seems that Celcom network got disrupted again. This isn't the first time that happened this year either, it's the third time if we recall and the Celcom subscribers are taking their frustration on the company's social page.

Previously, we reported Opensignal's analysis of Malaysia mobile data usage during the pandemic and they seem to suggest that there's a lack of WiFi network access. The company didn't stop there as they are back with another new report about our average mobile data consumption and download speed experience during the original MCO period.

While some states are currently in CMCO or EMCO, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) has just announced in their Facebook that our local telcos are once again giving away 1GB of internet data for free. This initiative will be done every day until 31 December 2020.

As more cases pop up around Malaysia, it seems that one of Celcom's employees has been tested positive for COVID-19. However, this is from its retail outlet, Bluecube in Sandakan, Sabah and he's currently waiting for second test results with mild symptoms.
