Today, the Apple iPhone 11 series are now available in Malaysia and it's that time of the year again on which telco plan is the best one for you. Well, we have round up the four telcos - Celcom, Digi, Maxis and U Mobile so without further ado, check out what they have to offer below!

Yesterday, I was lucky enough to attend a keynote panel discussion hosted by edotco where notable figures such as CEO of Time Broadband Afzal Abdul Rahim, CEO of Robi Axiata Limited Mahtab Uddin Ahmed, Head of BCG Vaishali Rastogi, as well as Chairman of MCMC Encik Al-ishal Ishak were present. They then discuss the state of Malaysia's network infrastructure and whether it is enough to support the upcoming 5G network which will start to roll out sometime next year.

Opensignal are back with their Mobile Network Experience Report for Malaysia September 2019 with the clear winner being Celcom with awards in the Latency Experience, 4G Availability and best Video Experience. Maxis maintained and solidified their position as "King of Speed" by getting awards in both Upload and Download speed while U Mobile improved leaps and bounds with 75% faster download speeds. Surprise contender Unifi stepped up offering Best Voice App experience (for when you make calls using apps like WhatsApp and so forth) but also improved in terms of video experience as well.

The Kejohanan E-Sukan Kampus is back once again, with more than RM180000 worth of prizes to be won. The competition is organized by Celcom XPAX, Kitamen, as well as Media Prima’s MyGameOn and the qualifiers will start in as early as 21 September 2019 while the Grand Finals will be on 23 and 24 November 2019 in The Curve, Damansara.

Just as the Vivo S1 appearing on Maxis and Digi postpaid plan, the device is also available at Celcom when customers sign up for the Celcom Mobile Plans starting today (28 August 2019) onwards.

With 31 of August 2019 coming up on Saturday, Axiata Group Berhad and Celcom Axiata Berhad showcased a short film on unity in Malaysia called ‘Getaran Pertama’ about the first choir to sing ‘Negaraku’. Based on true events in 1957, the film utilizes holographic technology and will be available for viewing from 12.00am on 28 August 2019 at the Celcom site with outreach activities showcasing the film with choir performances happening on 30 August 2019 from 6.00pm to 7.00pm.

Well, this is a great way to start off the week. Celcom Axiata Berhad has been awarded by OpenSignal for achieving the first spot for 4G Availability and Upload Speed Experience in Malaysia. This was published in OpenSignal’s ‘Mobile Network Experience: Malaysia’ report, April 2019, based on an independent analysis of mobile measurements recorded during the period of 1 December 2018 until 28 February 2019.
