According to a recent leak, the new Apple iPhone 18 could feature a smaller Dynamic Island. That said, what should you know about it?

According to a new report from Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, its long-rumoured move into touchscreen notebooks is closer than ever, with the next-generation Apple MacBook Pro set to introduce major interface changes that blend traditional macOS interaction with modern touch capabilities.

Apple is set to unveil iOS 17 at WWDC 2023 this June and it may introduce some significant updates for users. In fact, according to an alleged insider, iPhone users can expect improvements to Search, the Dynamic Island, Control Centre and more.

realme have confirmed that their realme C55 smartphone will be coming on 7 March 2023 with an Apple iPhone 14 Pro Dynamic Island-like feature which they’ve called Mini Capsule. Located as a black bar near the 8MP punch hole front camera, it will show off data usage, phone charging status and after a firmware update will also include step count and walking distance.

There’s been a lot of teasers for the upcoming realme GT3 and it looks like here’s another one as a leaked image reveals that it could be the first Android phone to get a “Dynamic Island” like on the Apple iPhone 14 Pro and Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max. Initially revealed on those iPhones to make use of the space taken by the wider front camera punch hole. 

Xiaomi is reportedly set to release the Xiaomi Civi 2 in the global market as the Xiaomi 13 Lite 5G soon. Interestingly, the device has a pill-shaped camera cutout on its screen that’s very similar to the Dynamic Island found on the iPhone 14 Pro series.

Dynamic Island on the iPhone 14 Pro models has been all the buzz in the tech world lately, so much so that there is even an app that can emulate the feature on Android smartphones. In fact, the app, dynamicSpot, has been so popular that up to this day, it has already garnered over 1 million downloads on Google Play Store!

The Dynamic Island has been quite useful so far, in terms of making the pill-shaped cutout look more attractive instead of a distraction. iOS 16.1 is currently in beta mode and it's said that the software update will bring something new.

Since its unveiling by Apple, the iPhone 14 Pro series’ Dynamic Island feature has been the talk of the tech world, with many developers even attempting to emulate the concept on Android. Now, there’s even an app called ‘dynamicSpot’ by an Android developer named Jawomo that would put Dynamic Island on your Android device.

Since a developer already ported the Dynamic Island function from the iPhone 14 Pro (and 14 Pro Max) to a Xiaomi device, realme is planning to do so as well. It happened not too long ago at a realme Community portal, asking realme Fans "What's your dream island like?".
