After releasing HarmonyOS 2.0, it's time for HUAWEI to integrate the operating system (OS) with some of the product categories and sell them. Earlier, it has been announced that the OS will be used by IoT devices including smartwatches, smart TVs, cars, and more. Now, it looks like progress will be made as the company could be launching the first smartwatch with HarmonyOS soon.

For large electronics companies, it makes sense for them to be able to produce their own components. This is particularly true for Huawei due to the US trade restrictions. The company has been looking into making its supply chain independent and will be manufacturing a variety of in-house components.

The news of HUAWEI selling HONOR might have been one of the biggest news in the tech industry this year. HONOR was under HUAWEI as a sub-brand for almost seven years starting from 2013 but the relationship has eventually come to an end. Today, the founder of HUAWEI Ren Zhengfei has spoken regarding the departure by hoping HONOR to be big enough to rival HUAWEI one day.

Other than HUAWEI, Chinese companies like Xiaomi, vivo, OPPO have done a pretty good job maintaining their businesses. As we know, HUAWEI has had its rough moment this year and we can't deny that there were some damages done. Therefore, it has given a chance for the others to see that as an opportunity to become the top in the country. Having that said, it is reported that the other Chinese companies mentioned are building up momentum in their orders for the coming quarter.

Even though Donald Trump lost his president seat, it will take a while for the US authorities to decide what to do with the Huawei ban and we aren't even sure if Joe Biden will lift it up or not. Either way, Qualcomm has been granted a business license to work with Huawei for a few weeks now and there could be a new chipset for a new Huawei phone.

With Donald Trump's defeat at the latest USA election, Joe Biden will be the next US President soon. While there are no plans announced on fixing the mess that Trump created over the few months, Huawei is now hoping that the United Kingdom can reconsider the ban on their 5G equipment.
