The HUAWEI Ban was signed in May 2019 declaring a national security risk emergency that banned U.S. companies from using telecommunications equipment made by Chinese firms has not come to an end yet. President Donald Trump has just announced another year of extension on the ban until May 2021.

For most brands, you rarely see new devices in established series as it requires more time and money that could be put into successive models. But if a rumour is to be believed, Huawei may be looking to do just that. This new rumour claims that Huawei could launch a new model for the Mate series that isn't part of the upcoming mate 40 series in May or June 2020.

As Huawei continues to add more necessary apps to their AppGallery, it has been reported that they found a new alternative navigation app to replace Google Maps. Some of you might have heard this before, it's known as HERE WeGo and it has officially entered the AppGallery club.

It seems that Huawei, as well as other partners from China, are planning to bring 5G network to the tallest mountain in the world, Mount Everest. Once it has been fully implemented, users within the coverage area will be able to access the internet at the speed of around 1Gbps or more, which is extremely fast.

As you may already know, Huawei is going to launch the Nova 7 series on 23 April 2020. At the launch, expect to see three new devices in the Nova 7 SE, Nova 7, and Nova 7 Pro. In particular, the Nova 7 SE is supposed to be an affordable mid-range 5G device and some of its details have been leaked ahead of the launch.

For a TV buff, there's never enough shows to watch. There is an increasing number of video streaming platforms these days and even Huawei wants a slice of that pie. The company has recently unveiled its Huawei Video platform and will offer up to three months of free Premium Experience Pack to users of Huawei devices.

Huawei hasn't been revealing much of its upcoming Nova 7 smartphone, but the rumour mill has begun churning. At the end of March 2020, a rumour suggested that the Nova 7 could come with the Kirin 985 chipset. Now, a new leak has revealed what the device looks like, along with a claim of its rear camera with a periscope telephoto camera.
