After announcing that a self-repair programme was in the works last November, Apple has finally launched the programme in the United States. Called the 'Apple Self Service Repair', it will be expanded to other countries beginning with Europe later this yeart.

Back in January 2022, Apple hosted a Shot on iPhone Macro Challenge globally and it has officially ended. Today, the company has chosen and unveiled the top 10 best iPhone macro photos from around the world taken from their iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Last week, Apple announced a brand new iPhone SE as well as the iPhone 13 and 13 Pro in Green and Alpine Green respectively. If you have been waiting for these models, the pre-order for the Malaysian market has begun today (18 March 2022).

From time to time, Apple would release short clips online that are #ShotOniPhone. In this latest entry, there is a new short movie called Life Is But a Dream and it was directed by South Korean film director Park Chan-wook.

Every smartphone brand has an Instagram page where they show off the latest smartphone's photo quality online. In Apple's case, the company usually posts photos that are #ShotOniPhone by users instead of themselves. So to further promote iPhone users' photography skills, Apple is organising a macro photography Shot on iPhone Challenge.

As much as I'm loving the macro mode on the iPhone 13 Pro, I also mentioned in the article that I wish there was a toggle for that so I can be in full control of my mobile photography experience. Thankfully, Apple will be implementing that in the next iOS 15.2 update and it's currently in beta testing.

Here's the thing, though, a macro lens isn't really a feature that most people would use on their smartphone. You would also notice that the macro lens usually won't appear on flagship devices because brands prioritise the aforementioned ultrawide and telephoto lens for better photo and video quality. Then out of a sudden, Apple integrated its own macro on the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.

Just past midnight last night, Apple has officially released the anticipated SharePlay feature in iOS 15.1. Besides that, the new software update also allows iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users to capture ProRes videos and insert COVID-19 vaccination cards in their Apple Wallet.
