As you should know by now, U Mobile was chosen as the second 5G network provider in Malaysia. To be honest, we were quite surprised. The same applies to CelcomDigi and Maxis. The latter even asked for an explanation, which MCMC responded to.

Recently, it was announced by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) that Malaysia will migrate to Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6). It was announced by Derek John Fernandez, an MCMC member who was at the ‘Asia Pacific Workshop: Certified IPv6 Migration Strategy for Regulators and Governing Authorities’ programme.

At the end of June 2023, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) said it will take legal action against Meta for not cooperating to remove scam ads on Facebook. But that has been resolved, as announced by our Minister of Communications and Digital, YB Fahmi Fadzil. 

In another announcement by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), the organisation would like to remind all service providers that all calls and delivery of short message systems must display real number information. In other words, no more private numbers.

Bad Internet mobile performance is a norm amongst many Malaysians and we love complaining about it. But that might change because the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) will start imposing regulatory action on service providers who have failed to offer quality Internet services.
