It wasn't that long ago that the Mobile World Congress 2020 was cancelled due to the coronavirus outbreak. Annually held in Barcelona, Spain, it's the world's largest mobile showcase event and there are reports that some smartphone brands will be rescheduling their events. This includes OPPO and Xiaomi, perhaps even Huawei as well.

Mobile World Congress 2020 or MWC20 could get canceled due to the Wuhan novel coronavirus (now known as Covid-19) outbreak. While Xiaomi have indicated that they’ll be attending and realme teased a new phone reveal there, a number of other big names like Sony, vivo, Intel and MediaTek have all said that they’ll be pulling out from the show.

If you’ve been following the news of this year’s Mobile World Congress (MWC), you must’ve known a lot of companies are pulling themselves out in a concern of health and safety issues. The virus outbreak not only has affected thousands of people, but it has also taken away many lives as well. Therefore, many companies think that skipping the MWC 2020 would be a wise choice, including vivo, Intel, Mediatek, TCL and more.

The coronavirus has spread from land to land and almost every country has started to take precautions against it. From banning China travellers entering the country to cancelling events, these are the things that are currently happening to ensure people’s health and safety. Although the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2020 has not been cancelled, there are still few exhibitors who announced that they will not be joining this year. Today, Sony becomes the fifth exhibitor to pull out from the event, in concern of the virus outbreak as well.

What's that now? A realme TV for real? Yes, apparently it's in the plans according to Francis Wang, the Chief Marketing Officer of realme India. From his official Twitter reply, he said "U gonna hear something exciting abt TV on MWC!"
