The co-founder and CEO of Nothing, Carl Pei has revealed that the company is not planning on releasing the successor to the Nothing Phone (1) anytime soon. Taking to his official Twitter account, Pei said that Nothing is not like other companies out there that “churn out dozens of products a year”.

Previously, Nothing said that its first smartphone, the Nothing Phone (1) will be able to show the battery percentage of the Apple AirPods lineup with its next update. True to its words, the company has recently released the Nothing OS 1.1.7 update for the Android smartphone and lo and behold, the device now has extra functionality when paired with the AirPods.

After months of teasing, Nothing has finally released the Nothing Ear (stick), its latest truly wireless earbuds (TWS) in Malaysia. Featuring a transparent design and a unique charging case, Nothing said that the earbuds are designed for comfort and are lightweight and ergonomically shaped.

Previously, we reported on how Nothing finally revealed the name of its upcoming truly wireless earbuds (TWS), the Nothing Ear (stick) after the earbuds were seen getting certifications in various countries. Now, we have also finally gotten a release date for the unique-looking earbuds.

Nothing currently only has two products, a pair of wireless earbuds and a smartphone, selling in the market. Despite that, we can't ignore the fact the brand does have a bright future by launching even more categories of products. With that said, CEO Carl Pei might have dropped some hints on a laptop.

Previously, we reported that Nothing has gotten SIRIM certification in Malaysia as well as certifications in other countries for the release of new truly wireless earbuds (TWS). Now, it looks like the earbuds, called the Ear (stick) are coming closer to release as Nothing was spotted teasing the new product.

Android 13 was officially released by Google on 16 August 2022 for Pixel devices, with the OS update only coming to other supported Android devices “later this year”. However, one notable brand missing from the list of devices to receive the update is Nothing and its founder Carl Pei had some interesting comments when asked about the matter.

The Nothing Phone (1) has got to be one of the most hyped up smartphones in recent history but sometimes, it’s just hard to keep up with expectations. Previously, we reported that early adopters of the device have been getting quality control issues, whereby their displays have a green tint or dead pixel issues and now, there is more controversy about the Phone (1)’s display.

The Nothing Phone (1) has got to be one of the most hyped up devices in recent memory and the reception to the smartphone has been really impressive, given how Nothing is still technically a startup company. Now, if a new rumour is to be believed, Carl Pei and co may be set to release a ‘Lite’ version of the Phone (1) which would keep the same aesthetics but without the unique Glyph interface.

Nothing during an event in Sentul Depot, Kuala Lumpur today announced that its first smartphone, the Phone (1) will be on sale in Malaysia starting from 1 August 2022 for the 8/256GB variant. Furthermore, consumers can place their pre-order and get a first-hand experience of the device by visiting the Nothing Pop-up store at the Starhill, Bukit Bintang from 21 to 25 July 2022.
