Earlier, it was reported that Xiaomi will be one of the first to debut a smartphone with a 200MP camera. Now, the news has come saying that the Chinese tech company will use Samsung's unannounced 200MP sensor. Back in 2019, Xiaomi also launched the CC9 Pro which was the first to come with Samsung's 108MP camera sensor.

Looks like a patent by Xiaomi might have been spotted recently, hinting that they could be working on a Xiaomi phone that’s equipped with an under-display flip camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact release date of the smartphone in question, it does give us a better idea of what to expect from Xiaomi in the future.

It seems that a Digital Chat Station recently posted on the user’s weibo account, hinting that the upcoming Xiaomi flagship smartphone could come equipped with a 200MP main camera. While not much is known in regards to the exact smartphone model of the upcoming phone, we do know that it will most likely be using Samsung’s 200MP GN2 image sensor which was teased on Samsung’s official Twitter account.

The 3D ToF sensor was something that can only be seen on Samsung's highest flagship offerings like the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy S20 Ultra. However, the company has later decided to replace it with a Laser AF system for the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. Since then, the 3D ToF sensor can no longer be found on the latest Samsung devices. Today, it is reported that we will not be getting the sensor with the upcoming Galaxy S22 series as well.

In fact, it has even made its way to budget-friendly devices such as the Redmi Note 10 Pro. This proved that customers no longer need to spend a lot to get a camera with high megapixels, but is it overrated?

Based on a report by 91mobiles it seems that Xiaomi could be working on a smartphone that’s equipped with a detachable rear camera module. With that being said, Xiaomi could be the first smartphone manufacturer of the year 2021 to bring back the modular smartphone trend if they were to release the aforementioned device.

It seems that Huawei has unveiled the Smart Choice MOD PLANET Smart Latex Pillow in China, which comes equipped with various sensors to help monitor your sleep for the price of RMB499 (~RM309). Unfortunately, there is no official information on whether the aforementioned pillow will be available in the local market.

As technology continues to advance exponentially, it seems that brands are trying to reach new heights in-camera software. Thanks to the pixel boost technology, it allowed smartphones to reach up to 108MP sensor without looking like a mega telescope but it looks like Samsung could trying to bump up to 600MP.

Based on a statement by @UniverseIce on Twitter, it seems that Samsung could potentially be working on a 600MP camera sensor which will be equipped embedded in Samsung smartphones in the future. While not much is known in regards to the release window of the aforementioned sensor, it does give us a better idea on what to expect as soon as it is available in the global market.
