Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, companies around the world have been looking into various ways to help in relief efforts. One of those companies is Snapchat, which has come up with a new augmented reality lens that isn't for fun this time. Instead, this new lens is designed to help people to donate to the World Health Organization’s (WHO) COVID-19 response efforts.

For those who regularly use Snapchat, the ability to post Stories to other platforms has long been a wish for them. Well, the wait is over as the developer has officially launched App Stories. First introduced last year, this feature allows users to post Stories in Snapchat to other apps.

The last time for Snapchat to get a huge makeover was about three years ago, and the company didn’t manage to impress the app’s users. Not only was the update not welcomed by the users, but the app has also lost millions of users after the redesign. Now, the multimedia messaging app might get another huge update again according to a tipster.

It seems even Snapchat is keen on having its own spotlight in entertainment. The company has announced that there will be a full-motion TV series based on Bitmoji avatars aptly named Bitmoji TV. According to TechCrunch, the show will start to air in February 2020 and the premiere is coming soon.

People love GIFs these days and we often see them as responses to things posted on social media. Well, soon you'll be able to spice up your GIFs by adding yourself into it for a cameo. Snapchat is currently working on a Cameo feature, which allows you to insert your face into GIFs.

Snapchat recently released a new filter on their app, which shows how you would look like if you were several years older. By older, I meant by at least 30 to 50 years older to the point grey hairs as well as a moustache might show up.

Based on a statement by AndroidAuthority, WhatsApp could be getting the disappearing messages feature in the future. To go into more detail, this feature lets the user determine how long the messages will stay visible before it deletes itself from both the sender and the recipient's device.

Snap Inc, the creators of Snapchat has announced that they have unveiled the Lens Studio 2.1 which includes up to 6 new templates, 14 new Landmarkers, as well as various new tools. These new additions to the Lens Studio will not only help users create staggering AR Lens for Snapchat, but also help streamline the entire creative process and share with the community.
