So the vivo X21 has been revealed and released in Malaysia for RM2299. Expensive? Maybe. That's why we are going to do a review about it. The X21 is a mid-range tier device that houses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, with 6GB of RAM and up to 128GB of internal storage (which is the one we have right now). The AMOLED display is 6.28-inch long and has a bunch of AI-powered stuff like AI Face Access, AI HDR, AI Portrait and of course, the Dual Pixel and in-display fingerprint sensor technology which they have been promoting about. In conjunction with Digi's Rah Rah Internet campaign today, the vivo X21 is also included with it today and that's right, you can actually get it for just RM1 only but provided that you sign up for the Digi Postpaid 190 package plan. For a device that's RM2299 in the market, this is a pretty affordable solution for those who prefer a contract based payment.

Slated for RM2299, the X21 pre-order will be available starting today (5 June) until 8 June 2018 and for those who do so during the period, they will be granted a free extra 6 months screen crack protection and a FIFA merchandise. You can simply visit the nearest vivo concept store, authorized resellers and its official online stores in Lazada, 11street and Shopee.

Well, vivo Malaysia wants you to know that the device has a lot of AI-powered features such as the AI Face Beauty, AI HDR, AI Face Unlock and a P3 Gamut which means it's capable of producing quite colourful and vivid photos.

Today, vivo Malaysia has announced that the long-awaited and much teased in-display fingerprint scanning technology phone, the X21 will officially launch in Malaysia on 5 June 2018. No price nor open sale time was mentioned but they will definitely be announced on the launching day, so please be patient.

The Vivo X21 incorporates several cutting edge technologies such as In-Display Fingerprint Scanner technology as well as the Dual Pixel Sensor which sets a new benchmark in mobile features. Starting off with the In-Display Fingerprint Scanner, Vivo is the first smartphone manufacturer to integrate and mass produce mobile phone displays that are capable of functioning as a fingerprint scanner. This alleviates the need to have a dedicated spot on the device to house the sensor such as on the chin or behind it. This allows Vivo to have larger screens on their devices and also have a much cleaner appearance towards the user.

We have talked plenty about the in-display fingerprint sensor before in our news portal. As many of you know, vivo Malaysia will be bringing in the X21 and this will be Malaysia's first device to have a fingerprint sensor that's directly below the display (and not the chin). Moreover, the phone can also be unlocked via facial recognition just as many new Android phones do now.
