ASUS Zenbook DUO & Zenbook 14 OLED revealed with up to Intel Core Ultra 9 & AMD Ryzen 8040 series processor

ASUS is on a roll here, releasing all the new laptops from each lineup with the likes of ROG Strix, ROG Zephyrus and the ASUS TUF Gaming series. Of course, the company hasn't forgotten about the professional target segment. Here's everything you need to know about the new Zenbook laptops.

Kicking off with the Zenbook DUO (2024), it's the world's first AI-powered 14-inch dual-screen laptop with a detachable full-size Bluetooth ASUS ErgoSense keyboard and touchpad. The dual full-size has up to 3K 120 Hz ASUS Lumina OLED 16:10 displays and are joined by a lay-flat 180° hinge, which can be expanded to 19.8 inches.

With Intel Evo Edition certification, the Zenbook DUO comes with up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor with an integrated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) for AI acceleration, 32 GB of LPDDR5x memory, up to a 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, a long-lifespan 75 Wh battery, and a Harman Kardon-certified Dolby Atmos audio system. It incorporates a variety of recycled materials and is durability tested to MIL-STD-810H military-grade standards.

Next, the Zenbook 14 OLED weighs 1.2kg only and is powered by up to an Intel Core Ultra 9 processor and Intel Arc graphics6 (UX3405), or the latest AMD Ryzen 8040 series processors and AMD Radeon graphics (UM3406). The battery has been extended to 75Wh and contains a variety of I/O ports - including 2 x Thunderbolt 4 (UX3405) or USB4 (UM3406), USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A, HDMI 2.1 (TMDS) and a 3.5 mm audio jack.

Providing up to a 3K ASUS Lumina OLED 120Hz display, this laptop also features an FHD IR camera with a physical shutter, a new quiet ASUS ErgoSense keyboard with a large ErgoSense touchpad. The UM3406 model additionally features a dedicated Windows Copilot key for AI capabilities and like the DUO, it was made with recycled materials and US military-grade certified.

There are no price tags yet but according to ASUS Malaysia, selected members of the new 2024 ASUS Zenbook (as well as the Vivobook series, click here to read it) will tentatively be launched in Malaysia this 19 January 2023. Stay tuned and mark your calendars!
