Over the past few days, we have been writing about the top searches in Google by Malaysians, top YouTube videos and the top downloaded free mobile games. This time, we found the Google trends list accordingly to each country as well as globally. While there's no category for gadgets, we did find one for games.
From the list, Among Us is the most search games of 2020 and it shouldn't come as a surprise. Although this game is two years old, it made a breakthrough this year thanks to the pandemic (ironically) and streamers who were finding new games to play. The game is available to download to play on Steam for just RM12.50 and it's free to play on mobile devices, which makes it accessible for everyone to play.
Perhaps the most impressive feat is that despite its simple 2D graphics, Among Us has beaten out many other popular videos games this year as well. This includes Fall Guys, Genshin Impact, The Last of Us 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Animal Crossing and Call of Duty: Warzone. By the way, the video game at 10th place is Dragon Quest.
