It's official. Apple will be launching its annual Apple Event on 12 September 2023 at 10 AM PT. In Malaysia's timing, that would be on 13 September, Wednesday at 1 AM when we can watch the livestream. However, you probably be needing your sleep time so we will be up and here's what we can expect from the event.

First and foremost, the iPhone 15 series will definitely make its debut and a ton of rumours have already spilled out online. The most consistent ones would be the Dynamic Island which appeared on the iPhone 14 pro variants and may expand to the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus. Moreover, the iPhone 15 series is very likely to use USB C ports and colour-matching braided USC C cables that are 1.5 metres long.

That being said, rumours have it that the USB C on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (or iPhone 15 Ultra) are much faster in transfer speeds of up to 40Gbps and charging speeds of up to 35W. Additionally, the wireless charging could set for up to 15W and Apple may only bring the new A17 Bionic chipsets for the pro variants. That's right, it's possible that the non-pro iPhone 15 variants would use the 1-year-old A16 Bionic chip.

Another thing that the iPhone 15 pro variants may get is the new Action button. Reports say this could replace the traditional mute slider and allow the user to customise the Action Button for various functions. This includes quick access to cameras, mute, flashlight, and many other functions. Also, based on the Apple Event logo, a new shade of blue and grey are likely the colour themes of this year.

Other than that, we should be seeing the new Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, AirPods Pro with USB C, and other software updates relating to the iPhones and Apple Watch. Until then, stay tuned for the official news coverage.
