In the last few weeks, there have been rumours of Apple working on a new Mac Pro, iMac Pro, and Mac mini. But that's not the end of it when it comes to new Mac computers in 2022. Allegedly, Apple is also developing a new variant called the Mac Studio.

According to 9to5Mac, the Mac Studio is based on the Mac mini but will feature more powerful hardware. It will be a new category of Mac computer that sits between the Mac mini and Mac Pro. Moreover, the design for the PC might be similar to the Mac Pro, making it a mini Mac Pro of sorts. This new model is expected to come with an Apple Silicon equipped with a 40-core CPU and 128-core GPU.

But while the Mac Studio could replace the previous Intel-based Mac Pro, that doesn't mean Apple is phasing out the latter. Sources claim that the company is still on track to release a new Mac Pro with an Intel CPU. This model is expected to be unveiled at WWDC 2022 later this year.
