Welcome to another camera battle where in this round, it's between the OnePlus 5 and the Apple iPhone 7 Plus. So why did we choose these two particular flagships? Well, it's because both are using a telephoto lens as their secondary camera. Also, we also can't help but point out how both look so similar but in spite of this, the price difference is quite far apart at RM2388 vs RM3699.
Obviously, the OnePlus 5 wins in terms of money value but we still want to see how the camera quality fares. Before we get into that, for the sake of fairness we have decided to put both telephoto picture samples at x8 only because that's the maximum of how far the OnePlus 5 can go. So...without further ado. Check out the comparisons below!

Closing thoughts
Judging from the zoom in photo samples, it is clear that the ones taken from OnePlus 5 tend to be a bit brighter than the iPhone 7 Plus, yet also containing more noise. Granted, the iPhone 7 Plus has some noise too but it is just not as obvious. Although that's the case, this also means the iPhone 7 Plus tends to stick to the original colour as seen in Telephoto round 3. Being able to bring in more light is not always a good case either, as evident from Telephoto round 5 of the sunset radiant colours. Overall, I think if we exclude the zoom in photos, most of the normal auto shots are quite similar and it's a bit hard to tell the difference especially the close-up shots, but not for my selfie (lol).
