Google is rumoured to launch its first smartwatch in October alongside the Pixel 6 and Pixel 5a. Before it happens, we've already seen some leaked renders that show off a casual sporty design rather than a premium stainless steel design. Now, a source has arrived claiming that the upcoming Pixel Watch will also use a Samsung's SoC.

The latest information is shared by tipster Max Weinbach during his appearance in a podcast. Surprisingly, the tipster claimed that Google will not be using Qualcomm's SoC for its smartwatch. Instead, the tech giant will opt for a Samsung's 5nm processor. He also said that the smartwatch could be delayed if the chip shortage persists.

According to the previous rumour, the Google Pixel smartwatch codenamed "Rohan" is expected to have a thin metal body. It will also have a watch crown on the right, which users can turn to interact with the device. With that said, it suggests that the device may not use a capacitive touch screen. Furthermore, we could also see the reworked Wear OS on the device.
