As Huawei gears up for the launch of the Mate 40 series on 5 September 2020, the leaks continue to appear. We have already seen renders of the phone, while the supposed tech specs and prices were also leaked last month. However, a reliable source has now leaked another set of tech specs and prices that have some differences.
According to Gizmochina (via RODENT950), the Mate 40 will come with a 6.67-inch curved display with 90Hz refresh rate. On the other hand, while the Mate 40 Pro will come with 90Hz refresh rate Huawei opt for a waterfall display instead. In terms of tech specs, the Mate 40 Pro will also have a Kirin 9000 chipset, up to 5000mAh battery, and a pill-shape cutout for the front cameras that support 3D face unlocking.

512gt: 7399 yuan
In terms of cameras, the Mate 40 will have a 50MP main camera, 20MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens. The Mate 40 Pro is similar but has a 50MP main camera with "liquid lens tech", an 80MP ultrawide cine camera, a periscope camera, and a ToF sensor. In regards to the so-called liquid lens, it's a technology where the sensor is supposed to be used for both the autofocus and stabilisation systems.
As you can see, RODENT950 also mentioned prices for the Mate 40 Pro that is about ~RM 3609/3910/4451 for 128/256/512 GB but take those with a grain of salt. These are cheaper than the previously leaked prices, but would you be interested in buying them?
