Huawei may add Harmony OS to more devices next year besides phones or tablets

Owing to the troubles that Huawei faced with Google this year, it was inevitable for the manufacturer to want more of its devices to feature HarmonyOS. In a new report by Reuters, Huawei said that it wants more of its products to feature the home-grown OS.

However, the company may not be rushing to add the operating system to its phones, tablets or computers just yet. But aside from those, what would the HarmonyOS be used on? Well, it's possible that the plan is to release the OS to wearable products. Judging by the roadmap we've seen a few months ago, we could see it added to products like smartwatches or VR glasses

Wang Chenglu (President of Huawei Consumer Business Software) allegedly revealed this news this during a presentation at Huawei’s global flagship store in Shenzen. He also said that Huawei still prefers Android for devices like phones. This is in contrast with Huawei CEO's opinion that Huawei can be the best even without using Android.

How well would Huawei do if its Google woes return and should they just use HarmonyOS more extensively? Share your thoughts on our Facebook page and stay tuned to TechNave.com for more news.
