Today, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg finally announced that Threads will have a new Following feature update. It was confirmed on his Instagram broadcast channel, where Threads users can check out posts of people that they follow instead of random accounts.

On his broadcast channel, Mark said we will have to install the latest version of Threads on either the Apple App or Google Play Store (version 293). Once you update it, you can see two new sections on your homepage with "For You" and "Following". That being said, my Threads app still looks the same despite updating it this morning. Perhaps it's now rolling out globally as we speak.

Anyway, the 'Following' section will display a chronological feed of people that you follow, as aforementioned. Besides that, Mark also confirmed that translations are added too. Will these two new updates bring back the users? After all, half of the daily active users on Threads were gone after a week since its debut, and we read more news of more dropouts as time passed by.

On the other hand, the Twitter space seems to be in 'chaos' again after Elon Musk announced that the brand and logo will be now an 'X'. Many Twitter users don't seem to be happy with the direction and are confused about the need to change. Either way, Threads still need a lot of work such as implementing direct messages, editing a post and many more
