Since announcing the Moto G5 and G5 Plus during MWC, it seems that Lenovo had been hard at work to bring it to retail across the globe. First there were reports that it will be made available in Russia in the month of April and will carry a price tag of RUB 12,990 (about RM987) in the country.

It was followed by India where its official Moto India Twitter account teased about the Moto G5 Plus that will be arriving on 15 March, but no pricing details were made available.

UK is next in line to receive the Moto G5, as it seems that John Lewis, an online retailer had started listing it too. The phone is out of stock at the moment, but its full specifications as well as price are revealed, along with a surprising 2 year guarantee for the device. It will be priced at £169.95 (about RM925) for the Moto G5 with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage in choices of Fine Gold or Lunar Gray.

It does seem that, in terms of equivalent price, it’s going to cost upwards of RM1000 in Malaysia (or possibly RM999 for the base 2GB/16GB model, inclusive of taxes and all)  if it were to be launched locally, which might seemed a little close to Moto Malaysia’s other offering, the Moto M which has a retail price of RM1199. Would Moto Malaysia still launch the device in Malaysia? There’s been some unconfirmed news in that regards. Stay tuned on TechNave.com for more Moto news.
