New OPPO devices appear on SIRIM including one that is 5G-certified

There's no doubt that the Malaysian government is pushing hard for 5G rollout and brands are looking to capitalise on that. It wasn't too long ago when we got wind of OPPO gearing up to bring in its first 5G smartphone to Malaysia, but already there's news of another 5G OPPO device on the way.

Keen eyes have reported that there are two new listings for OPPO Malaysia (Jie Business Sdn. Bhd.) on SIRIM Malaysia, bearing the model number CPH2023 and CPH2025. These two are most likely 4G and 5G variants of the same model, which we believe to be the Find X2. The main reason for this is because there's already hints that the Find X2 will be released in Q1 2020, plus it was rumoured to be coming with a 5G variant so that matches.

Of course, that's not all we know about the Find X2. Previous leaks claim that the device will also come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 chipset, a 3168 x 1440 resolution display with 120Hz refresh rate, and a 65W VOOC fast-charger. It's also expected to have a triple-camera (48MP+13MP+8MP) setup, a 4000mAh battery, and run on Android 10 out of the box.

Since these two devices are already listed on SIRIM Malaysia, it's bound to be launched in Malaysia sooner than later. Of course, whether they are variants of the upcoming OPPO Find X2 smartphone remains to be seen.
