So apparently, OPPO Malaysia is bringing another new R-series smartphone into the Malaysia market. The last one was the R15 Pro which made its debut about 6 months ago and while they are keeping it quiet on what the new one is, we are throwing a wild guess that it could be the R17 Pro.
The reason why we are betting on the R17 Pro is that this R-series smartphone is the latest one by the company, but chances are you might not have heard about it is because it's only available in China. To give you a brief recap of the tech-specs, it's the company first device to feature a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 chipset and its memory goes up to 8GB of RAM. The 6.4-inch screen panel is made out of AMOLED and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 material.
Another highlight of the device is the triple camera setup (but not really) that consist 12MP + 20MP + a 3D ToF (Time of Flight) depth sensor. The primary sensor is able to switch its aperture from f/1.5 - f/2.4 and the 20MP is just a secondary camera probably used for taking portrait modes. Finally, it has a 50W SuperVOOC charging technology for the 3700mAh battery. You can check out the rest of the tech specs here.
