OnePlus 11 5G release: coming soon to Malaysia on 14 February 2023

Last night, OnePlus has finally unveiled the OnePlus 11 5G. The Malaysia launch will be coming soon on 14 February 2023 alongside the OnePlus Buds Pro 2, so stay tuned for that. Meanwhile, read on below to check out all the tech specs and features below.

In this article, we will be focusing purely on the OnePlus 11 5G. As expected, it features the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Mobile Platform with increased CPU and GPU speeds by 35% and 25% respectively. Additionally, it's also the first device to be approved as Snapdragon Spaces Ready. This allows developers to bring their XR ideas to life and explore the full potential of head-worn AR.

Moving on, it also comes with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM memory and RAM-Vita technology to allow for as many as 44 applications active in the background. If you recall, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 also supports Realtime Hardware-enabled Ray Tracing, and this supports a dynamic live wallpaper named PhysRay Wallpaper developed by OPPO open-source PhysRay SDK. Users can slide, swipe or click on the phone to experience the vivid and realistic shadow, reflection, and refraction effect. 

Next, there is a 100W SuperVOOC fast charging system for the 5000mAh dual-cell battery which only needs 25 minutes from 1% to 100% fully. On the exterior, it has a 6.7-inch 2K 120Hz Super Fluid AMOLED Display with LTPO 3.0, which was self-developed and certified by SGS Low Blue Light Ex. The OnePlus 11 5G is said to provide a long-term fast and smooth experience. It is certified by TÜV SÜD 48-month Fluency Rating A, TÜV SÜD Precise Touching S Rating, SGS Perceived Fluency A+, and TÜV Rheinland for Safe Charging and Usage. The OnePlus 11 5G is also the first OnePlus device that will be eligible for four major OxygenOS updates and five years of security updates.

Meanwhile, there is a triple rear camera with a 3rd Gen Hasselblad Camera system. Equipped with an IMX890 50MP main sensor, IMX709 32MP portrait lens, and IMX581 48MP ultra-wide camera, the OnePlus 5G marks a new Natural Color Calibration with Hasselblad supported by a 13-channel multi-spectral sensor for light-colour identification and the Hasselblad Portrait Mode to provide almost DSLR-like photos. The OnePlus 11 5G is also equipped with TurboRAW HDR which is excellent for mobile photographer enthusiasts.

Dolby Vision support is also available. To further complement the visual entertainment, the OnePlus 11 5G is also equipped with Dual “Reality” Speakers and supports Dolby Atmos, which takes the audio experience to a new level, both via onboard speakers or via Bluetooth headphones. The Dolby Head Tracking support on the OnePlus 11 5G is available when using compatible wireless earbuds.
