We spotted the Redmi Note 7 on the SIRIM listings awhile back and now it will finally arrive here at our shores! The device now has a Malaysia release date on the 19th of March, a little after the global launch of the device on the 6th of March in Madrid, Spain.

Xiaomi sent out invites to local medias here in Malaysia, announcing the arrival of the much anticipated smartphone here at our very own shores. So far, Xiaomi has been teasing their 48MP camera with the hashtag #48MPforEveryone.

The Chinese variant of the smartphone features tech specs of 4GB/6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage or another variant with 3GB RAM and 32GB of storage. It features the Snapdragon 660 chipset and 4000mAh battery capacity. Besides that, it has a 6.3 inch waterdrop notch display housing a 13MP selfie camera and on the rear is a dual camera setup with 48MP sensor and a 5MP depth sensor. Besides that, the device might come with a UD fingerprint scanner.

No Malaysia pricing has been known yet but the Chinese version of the Redmi Note 7 starts at RMB999(~RM603). DirectD had announced that they will be bringing in the Redmi Note 7 into Malaysia recently but it was unconfirmed if it was in collaboration with Xiaomi. Now that the dates given by both companies match, it is safe to assume so. So are you eager to try out the Redmi Note 7?
