In conjunction with the BUDI95 announcement, Touch 'n Go eWallet recently confirmed that Malaysians can claim the subsidy on its app. As one of the official digital platforms supporting the programme, the feature will roll out in stages starting 27 September, with full public access starting 30 September 2025.

Why Use BUDI95 on TNG eWallet?

On TNG eWallet's announcement post, its app will work across all participating petrol stations, removing the need to download multiple fuel apps.  Since all TNG eWallet users are already verified, there’s no requirement to use a physical MyKad. With that, Malaysians can have faster refuelling, skipping the queue at Petronas stations by leveraging Setel on TNG eWallet.

How To Verify Your Account via eKYC

Before you can start claiming the BUDI95 subsidy, here are the following steps to make sure your account is verified via eKYC on your TNG eWallet app:

  1. Open your TNG eWallet app and tap your Profile icon on the top right.
  2. Tap Account Verification, then Verify Account.
  3. Under ID type, choose MyKad, then scan the front of your MyKad and take a selfie.
  4. Fill in the respective details and submit them when you're done.

Usually, it takes up to seven working days if they need more information. But TNG eWallet says your account will usually be verified right away. So there's that.

Nationwide Rollout

The staged rollout kicks off on 27 September within the TNG eWallet app, before becoming fully available to the public on 30 September — aligning with the official launch of the BUDI95 subsidy scheme.
