Xiaomi showcased its own CyberDog and it cost ~RM6536

Apart from Xiaomi's unveiling of the Mi Mix 4, Mi Pad 5 series and other accessories, the company also showcased a robot dog called the CyberDog. What is the purpose of the CyberDog? Well, read on below to find out more.

According to Xiaomi, this CyberDog was designed for developers and engineers to use it as a platform to develop their own applications. Featuring an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier NX, it is dubbed the world's smallest supercomputer with 11 sensors that include an ultrawide and depth camera, touch and ambient light sensor, GPS, as well as sensors that interact with the environment via geomagnetic induction and ultrasonic sensor. It can carry a maximum weight of 3kg, travel at 3.2m/s and even performs backflips.

Is this robot dog for sale? Well, not really as it can't be found on any Xiaomi retail store or online shop. However, Xiaomi is launching 1000 units of them for 9999 Yuan each (~RM6536) for engineers and robot enthusiasts. The company also stated that the goal of the CyberDog is to create an open-source community of Xiaomi robots. In addition, they have set up a special robotics lab to invite robotic engineers to participate.
