Today, Apple has finally released the new major software updates to every Apple device. This includes iOS 16 (alongside iOS 15.7), iPadOS 15.7, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16. In case you don't see it in your Apple device's settings, just wait for it.
To recap, iOS 16 is finally bringing new features such as the customizable Lock Screen that allows you to put widgets, colours and change the fonts or time style. On top of that, you can also opt to operate different kinds of Focus filters directly on the lock screen if you are busy. Notifications will also appear from the bottom which makes it convenient for your thumb and not block your wallpaper.
Next, iPadOS 15.7 is releasing first before iPadOS 16. iPadOS 15.7 has the same update as iOS 15.7 which are security patches for Contacts, Maps, Safari, Shortcuts and Webkit. The iPadOS 16 should be released in October together with the next-gen iPad during the second Apple Event phase, alongside the next-gen Macbooks.
watchOS 9 update will be available for those who have an Apple Watch Series 4 and above. The new update includes new watch faces, redesigned notifications, sleep tracking support as well as a new Medications app. Also, tvOS 16 can now support Nintendo Joy-Cons and the Nintendo Pro Controller.
