Based on a statement by mysmartprice, it seems that Samsung plans on releasing the Samsung Galaxy Fold Lite which will most probably be the cheapest foldable smartphone from Samsung. Based on a statement by 4gnews.com, it seems that Huawei recently unveiled the Huawei Watch Fit which comes equipped with an AMOLED display, heart-rate tracking, as well as always-on display at the price of 499 AED (~RM565). While not much is known in regards to the Malaysia release date and local pricing of the Watch Fit, we do know that it’ll be available for purchase in the UAE from 3 September 2020 onwards.

Huawei previously announced the Huawei MatePad for RM1399 in May 2020, but have just announced that it will now be available on 9 September for RM1399 with a free complimentary keyboard and other freebies worth up to RM500. Tech specs for the MatePad are a mix of midrange and high-end including a Kirin 810 chipset, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage and a 10.4-inch full HD display.
In addition, the more entry-level Huawei MatePad T previously announced for RM799 will also be made available on 9 September 2020 for just RM499. This special promo is just for 9 September 2020 mind you, and there’s no mention as to the number of units available for sale for either the MatePad or the MatePad T, so if you're interested best mark your calendars and stay ready.

Not only the U.S. is banning HUAWEI to have any affiliation with the country's companies, but companies from other corners of the world are being affected as well. Earlier, it has been reported that HUAWEI is not able to manufacture the Kirin chips anymore due to their chip supplier TSMC being pressured by the ban. Now, MediaTek is facing the same problem as well. However, it looks like the chip manufacturer is not going to give up working with HUAWEI, as they applied for an exemption from the ban.
