As the popularity of Battle Royale modes grow on mobile, it’s not surprising that Activision has hopped on the bandwagon. Similar to the popular Call of Duty 4 on PC, the mobile version of the game, Call of Duty: Mobile has been announced to have a battle royale mode. Call of Duty: Mobile beta has only started a few days ago in some countries and has shown a lot of promise. The Battle Royale mode has been hyped up and for good reason - Call of Duty 4’s Battle Royale mode, Blackout was a huge hit at release and we may be seeing many features from the PC version of the game ported into mobile.

WhatsApp has announced that starting next year, users will begin to see ads in the messaging app on both Android and iOS. The first ads will be implemented into WhatsApp status, a feature similar to Instagram stories on the app.

Adding some spice into the mix is ASUS who has just unveiled 2 new ROG gaming laptops and an ASUS laptop. The spice that I’m mentioning here is the fact that all 3 of these laptops is powered by AMD Ryzen CPUs which is a breath of fresh air after seeing so many models with Intel Core chips. The ROG Zephyrus G GA502 price is at RM4999, the ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 price starts at RM2899 whereas the ASUS VivoBook Ultra A412 price starts at RM2199.

According to the BBC, ARM Holdings, designers of nearly all the smartphone chipsets and processors in the world recently sent out a memo to stop "all active contracts, support entitlements, and any pending engagements” with Huawei due to the US blacklisting. While ARM is a UK-based company owned by Japan-based SoftBank, it purportedly uses “US origin technology” in their designs which are also used in Huawei’s HiSilicon Kirin chipsets. While this means that we could see less Huawei Kirin chipsets in the future, it isn’t all as grim or “insurmountable” as some may believe.

Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer Business group was recently reported to have mentioned that Huawei's homegrown Plan B operating system will be coming to phones, computers, TVs, cars and wearables by Fall 2019. He went on to say that it is based on Android or is similar to Android, so we assume that it still works with the latest Android apps. No exact Malaysia release dates on when, but if we consider Fall to begin in July then it still falls within the earlier 3-month temporary license period we reported on earlier.
