vivo is sure having a busy year, they have released a bunch of phones for China and overseas over the months and they aren't just stopping yet. We know the vivo V11 is coming soon to Malaysia, the X21 model was also released not too long ago and now in China, they are looking ahead to release the X23 and the V11 Pro in India officially.

A recently revealed SST (Sales and Service Tax) guidance list from MySST has revealed that smartphones and other handphones will get a 5% SST. While some said that previously before GST, handphones, tablets and laptops were exempted, this list also goes on to reveal that other electronics will get a 10% SST as well. SST is expected to be implemented starting from 1 September 2018 so there is at least a week to get a new smartphone or other electronics like cameras, laptops and audio equipment before we see any price increase due to SST.

The much rumoured POCO F1 smartphone by Xiaomi has just gone official with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, 12MP+5MP AI dual rear camera, 20MP Dual Pixel front camera, infrared face unlock (so it works in the dark) and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage from 20999 INR (~RM1233). Featuring LiquidCool tech in a polycarbonate (basically plastic) body, the POCO F1 also has a 4000 mAh battery and is set for release in India on 29 August 2018. No Malaysian release dates or pricing details yet, but it is expected in Jakarta on 27 August 2018, so it could eventuallly come to Malaysia.
