By now, you should know that the vivo NEX was just announced officially yesterday for the price of RM2799. Not too bad for a flagship and from today onwards until 27 July 2018, you can now pre-order this unique smartphone at any Vivo concept stores, authorised dealers and partners nationwide.

So, the vivo NEX actually has been around for quite a while now but the full specifications aren't really black and white. But anyhow, we finally got the full plate served from vivo Malaysia and as to how the speculation whispered, the NEX is priced at RM2799 only and will be available for pre-order starting today at every vivo concept stores, authorised resellers, as well as their online store at their own website, Lazada, Shopee and 11street. 

In this short announcement, if you are one of those who were waiting on the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro (M1) 4GB + 64GB model, it's finally available in the Malaysia market now! As previously stated, this variant will be on sale for RM849. Well, looks like someone got way too excited about the vivo NEX. Officially scheduled to launch on next Monday (23 July 2018), the RM2799 was first leaked online by DirectD a few hours ago but it seems that the price has already disappeared. But what comes online stays online, so somewhere else in Malaysia, a vivo store in AEON Mall Kuching also leaked out the price with a pre-order form. 

The Vivo NEX has introduced several new technologies such as the Front Elevating Camera, Ultra Fullview Display, in-display fingerprint scanner, screen soundcasting as well as new innovative cooling technologies to bring the user experience to the NEX level (see what I did there? Haha!). We’re going to highlight a few notable features such as the with the cooling of the device, the Vivo NEX is designed from the ground up with heat dissipation in mind, as well as their choice of materials which helps keep the device cool even during prolonged intense play sessions.

Based on a report from Lowyat.net, there seems to be a Streamyx promo circulating around offering 8Mbps for RM100 a month and 4Mbps for RM90 a month. Not only that, the promo also offers unifi TV set top box as well as a wireless router and a DECT phone included in the packages mentioned. However, the promo is only available to newly registered customers only and not available to existing Streamyx customers.

Based on a South Korean media, Samsung Vice Chairman Jay Lee is looking towards merging the mainstream Samsung Galaxy S and the Note series into a single entity. However there is no confirmation on whether this is going to happen to future smartphones released by Samsung. On the contrary, it will be interesting to see upcoming Samsung phones such as the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10+ come equipped with the iconic S-Pen from the Note series.
