The tablet had always seemed to be on a constantly declining market over the last few years. The last time Samsung unveiled a flagship tablet, that was almost 2 years ago. Despite that, Samsung still deem fit to announce the new Galaxy Tab S3, a device that delivers superior video and gaming experiences. It also serves to keep productivity in mind. The company’s coveted S-Pen tech is making an appearance here, same goes to the optional keyboard attachment.

HMD Global, having launched the Nokia 6 in China initially, had announced that they are going global. Starting with the Nokia 6, it will be joined by the Nokia 5 and Nokia 3 which were unveiled today. All three phones will come in Q217 in both single and dual-SIM variants. Like the Nokia 6, both the Nokia 5 and 3 are smartphones that will run on pure Android Nougat.

Just as expected, Samsung only showed off a taste of what is to come for their upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 smartphone at MWC 2017 with the following teaser video. Clearly stating that the next Samsung unpacked event will be held on 29 March 2017 at www.samsung.com/galaxy, it also revealed that the Galaxy S8 will also have a very high screen to body ratio, perhaps even higher than the 78% of the recently unveiled LG G6. Huawei have officially launched their Huawei P10 and Huawei P10 Plus smartphones with a bang featuring more colours, an enhanced Leica front camera, Leica dual-Camera 2.0 featuring the 12MP RGB + 20MP monochrome sensor from the Mate 9 but with better SUMMILUX-H Leica lenses that offer a larger F/1.8 aperture for faster focusing in low-light conditions and more. Malaysia release dates are expected within a month with prices starting from 649 euros (~RM3043).

Huawei just done launching their latest dual camera flagship, Huawei P10 and P10 Plus at MWC (Mobile World Congress) Barcelona. It will be available here in Malaysia by next month at a price tag of 649 Euros (RM3043) for 4GB RAM Huawei P10, 699 Euros (RM3278) for 4GB RAM Huawei P10 Plus, and 799 Euros (RM3746) for 6GB RAM Huawei P10 Plus. The LG G6 has been officially announced with a 5.7-inch FullVision display with rounded corners in a body normally taken by a 5.2-inch display smartphone. It also packs in dual wide angle rear camera setup somewhat different from the LG V20, capable of recording in 4K video with smooth stabilization and taking square shots so you can take pictures while holding the phone upright. Other new additions to the LG G6 include IP68 water and dust resistance and no more modular parts unlike the previous LG G5. We don't expect the LG G6 to arrive in Malaysia any time soon though but there wasn't any pricing or release date information revealed either.

If you had been thinking of getting an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, now is probably the best time to get one in Malaysia. If you have always felt like you had just enough budget for the base 32GB model, I guess, you can rejoice that there’s a "free" storage upgrade for it, at most of the major authorised resellers in Malaysia now.

TCL and BlackBerry have officially announced their BlackBerry KEYone smartphone. Formerly codenamed Mercury, the KEYone packs an energy efficient Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 4.5-inch 1620 x 1080 pixel resolution display, 12MP camera, 3505 mAh battery and QWERTY keyboard with a fingerprint scanner built into the space bar key tech specs in a 9.4mm thin body. Despite the small display it is quite heavy at 180g but this is perhaps due to the metal frame.
