According to DigiTimes, they claimed that the upcoming Apple iPad Air 3 will have a 4K resolution touch panel, an improved RAM of 4GB and better battery life. The mass production is also said to begin whenApple enters the second quarter of 2016.

Besides that, the news portal website also said General Interface Solution and TPK from Taiwan, will share the production of the new iPad Air 3 and will be making a first appearance in March. This is due to some expectation of an increase in demand for the 3D Touch feature from Apple in the first half of 2016. However, oddly enough, previously it was reported that the device would not apply the feature as it was difficult to scale it on a larger screen display. In addition, rumours have it that the iPad Air 3 will also sport four speakers and a LED flash too.

Samsung Malaysia have launched their new Samsung Galaxy A (2016) or Samsung Galaxy A6 series of smartphones for the masses. Featuring the Samsung Galaxy A3 (2016) for RM1299, Samsung Galaxy A5 (2016) for RM1599 and Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016) for RM1899. Samsung Galaxy S7 rumours has been floating around in the internet for a long time, we probably will never heard the end of it until next month at the MWC 2016 (or not). We got ourselves an interesting image of its benchmark.

As you can see in the image, it seems that the Galaxy S7 chipset could be split again – one will get the Exynos 8890, and the other getting the Snapdragon 820. Overall, the Exynos 8890 is sitting at second place while the latter is on number four. It seems to suggest that the Snapdragon chipset is losing out on the multi-core performance since it's quad core, at the same time it wins the single-core fight – 2282 for the Snapdragon and 1873 for the Exynos chipset.

Today, on 28 January Wiko Mobile made their first public appearance in Malaysia and introduced three game-changing devices – the Wiko Highway Pure being the slimmest and lightest 4G smartphone in the market, the glow-in-the-dark Fever 4G smartphone, and the low cost entry-levelLenny2.

Ming-Chi Kuo is no stranger to the Apple community, as he often give some insider insights of what we could expect from Apple's next device features. The KGI Securities analyst has issued a research note containing information of the Apple “iPhone 7 Plus” which is currently in development. It's said to feature 5.5-inch and two variants of it, one with a single iSight rear camera and another with dual-camera design. 

What's more, through the purchase of Israeli camera technology company LinX Imaging last year by Apple. Kuo is expecting a 2 – 3x  optical zoom function feature in the iPhone 7 Plus, which the device could benefit from LinX technology of having multiple sensors for a smaller size camera lens. According to the KGI analyst, LinX technology in algorithm is unique for achieving a high-end dual-camera applications like an optical zoom simulation, it would also have better light sensitivity and image quality in low light setting.

While MWC 2016 is still coming in the next few weeks, many rumours about the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 edge have appeared. These include a leaked slide showing off the tech specs and renders from case makers. No Malaysia release dates or pricing details yet, but Samsung have traditionally announced their Galaxy S series at an unpacked event before or during MWC. Great news to all Digi subcribers, Digi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd and iflix, Southeast Asia’s leading Internet TV service, have collaborated together offering Digi subscribers a 12-month iflix subscription, valued at RM96 bundled with their new postpaid plan (Digi SmartPlan 65 and above) at no additional charge, with compliments from Digi. This has already started since yesterday (26 January) onwards.

This allows Digi subscribers to connect to iflix without needing to register for an account, as all they have to do is download the iflix app (available on Android and iOS) and the system will automatically recognize the user through Digi's network. 

According to DigiTimes, it's been reported that Apple's second-generation wearable, the Apple Watch (2016) will begin mass production in the second quarter of the year. If that's true, that means the Apple Watch won't likely to make an appearance in the rumoured March event by Apple, where they plan to present the new “4-inch iPhone” along with it. 

To further strengthen the confirmation by Xiaomi's co-founder and Senior VP Liwan Jiang, who statedXiaomi Mi 5's official launch date on his Weibo account just two days ago. Xiaomi's global VP, Hugo Barra also said the same thing on his Twitter that 24 February is indeed the official launch of the Xiaomi Mi 5. We are just a month away! 

The Mi 5 will be the company's next flagship smartphone of this year, as we already know that it's powered by a Snapdragon 820 processor which is Qualcomm's latest chipset. Besides that, reports are saying it could also sport a 3GB or 4GB RAM, three variants of 16GB, 32GB or 64GB internal storage, a 5.2-inch display (1080 x 1920 pixels / 1440 x 2560 pixels, 2.5D curved glass), featuring a 16MP rear camera + 13MP front camera, fueled by 3030 mAh battery, and operating on the latest Android 6.0.
