It isn't a secret that the ASUS ZenFone 5Z is going to be launched in June 2018 as the release dates were previously revealed during the launch, but since we have another 2 months away we have some time to speculate about its Malaysia price. Earlier announced for 479 euros (RM2280) for the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage version, as we keep saying, European prices are usually much higher than Malaysian prices which could indicate that the Malaysia price would be well below RM2.2K.

While it's kinda unfortunate that we didn't get to see the honor 9 land in Malaysia officially, instead what we got was the honor 9 Lite from honor Malaysia. This is the company's first ever quad-camera device and for RM749 only, this is really a good bargain for a budget smartphone with a nice design. Luxury smartphones have traditionally been expensive devices that don't really deliver when it comes to performance or technological innovation (the currently deceased Vertu, etc.). However, Huawei's recent Mate RS Porsche Design smartphone is breaking the mould by not only delivering best in class performance but also utilizing the latest components generally not used in consumer devices due to their higher cost on instead of just relying on premium materials.

So it's finally here, the vivo V9 was unveiled and believe it or not, it's actually Malaysia's first device with a 19:9 screen-to-body aspect ratio to be sold commercially for RM1399. As premium as it looks, this device is actually a mid-range tier with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 626, 4GB + 64GB memory capacity, a 6.3-inch display in Full HD+ resolution, 3260mAh battery, a dual rear camera (16MP + 5MP), a mega 24MP front camera, and multiple A.I. features pre-installed inside. The Neffos N1 is TP-Link’s first smartphone in their portfolio to pack in a 12MP + 12MP dual rear camera with one of them being a monochrome sensor. Going for a slim metal body and midrange tech specs, the RM1099 priced smartphone was also globally launched from Malaysia along with the Neffos C7 and Neffos C5A. Other tech specs include a MediaTek Helio P25 processor, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage, and we see how this metal-bodied midranger measures up in our Neffos N1 review below.

Samsung is back again with their flagship S series with the release of the Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. To get straight to the point, the Samsung Galaxy S9 is seemingly much like a Galaxy S8 with everything enhanced. So this is the honor 9 Lite smartphone, the one that did a new online sales record for honor Malaysia thanks to its affordable RM699 promotion sale that time (RRP is RM749). With that being said, this device has a quad-camera setup with two on each side, sporting a shiny body back and runs on basic tech-specs of 3GB + 32GB memory, Kirin 659 chipset, 3000mAh and more.
